INTERNATIONAL YOUNG LEADERS CLUB


The International Young Leaders Club (IYLC Geneva) promotes education-to-employment coaching and development opportunities for young people from all over the world. In a combination of industry and educational events, our members gain expertise and experience in a variety of sectors as well as in depth self-awareness taking them on the first steps towards being successful leaders in their own right. In our workshops, residential camplogo2 (3)s and one-to-one with our coaches, students gain:

  • Self-awareness. Learn about your own personality, communication styles, values, aptitudes and strengths.
  • Skills in specific industries and subjects that are valued by employers. IYLC focuses on skills that complement but do not duplicate the school curriculum.
  • Leadership tools and techniques to enhance your leadership and a safe environment to practice and develop.

Workshops are delivered on-site in universities and colleges for high performing groups of students. There is a series of standard workshops and others can be designed around particular development objectives.

Residential camps are run in Geneva, Switzerland where participants develop their business understanding and leadership skills. Industry visits and case studies give exposure to specific expertise from professionals in each field. Self awareness development, soft skills training and a secure environment to practice all develop maturity and self-confidence.

One-to-One coaching and development plans include both technical and soft skills with tailored packages targeted at each student’s specific objectives and ambitions.

Developing on the widely spread concept that every successful individual needs a coach, IYLC engages and supports the members in identifying objectives, creating a reality map and building a bridge between their current status and their desired objective. Mentors come from relevant industries and coaches challenge you to perform to your highest potential.

Studying your talents, personality, character strengths in a variety of different environments allows us to succeed in the IYLC vision. We structure our professional orientation process on each individual. We use your current CV  to set the starting point and your own aspirations to set the goal. Elena Kaplun

ELENA KAPLUN – FOUNDER

Guiding people in achieving their best performance and taking them to their highest potential, Elena founded the International Young Leaders Club based in Geneva. Working in partnership with multinationals companies and professional service organizations as well as high-profile start-ups, she coaches people towards education to employment. The goal is to help them launch into education and careers as successful entrepreneurs or individuals.

Elena is an entrepreneurial business development professional with focus on international student enrolment for business and hospitality education. She leads sales and marketing activities at operational and strategic level in multinational environments at a global scale.

With her undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management from Les Roches – International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, she has completed the first module of the IMD Executive MBA ‘Building on Talent’ Leadership Development Programme. Elena is an ACC – Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and completed further in-depth soft skill training.

She is also an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community at the Geneva Hub driving social projects on a volunteer bases. Elena is fluent in Russian, German, English and French.

SIMON PARKER – DIRECTOR

Co-Founder of the International Young Leaders Club, he drives business development with corporate clients and coaches the 2nd generation of HNW individuals through education, career and entrepreneurial projects. As a coach and mentor he specializes in the human element of business – with an instinct for helping individuals understand their role and strengths.

With 20+ years of international experience in both family-owned multinationals and in listed companies, Simon has worked in 45 countries and managed multi-cultural expert teams of high performing individuals. He has worked in the post-merger and post-acquisition integration of several major organizations.

As a professional Big 4 consultant he developed the CFO advisory presence in the Swiss market, implemented UN-related consulting and business transformation projects. He has also led global operation audits in the FMCG sector, developed internal control systems in specialty chemicals and in the luxury-manufacturing sector.

As chairman of CIMA in Switzerland he led the Board and a strong growth in student numbers and market presence within the multinational and recruitment environments. He has also been a committee member for the Geneva chapter of the International Financial Managers Association.

With a Bachelors in Biotechnology and a Masters in Finance, his passion is the people behind the numbers. His executive development includes strategic marketing & sales, leadership, team dynamics and extensive soft skill training. Simon is fluent in English and French.
